“ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH YOUR LIFE?”

“TIME MANAGEMENT”

COLOSSIANS 4:5

How To Relate With Those Who Are Lost:

Colossians 4:5 “Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.”

1.   Walk- vs.5 “Walk”

What is our walk?

Our walk- our lifestyle, our manner of living, our conduct.

Ephesians 4:17 “This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind.”

Acts 14:16 “Who in bygone generations allowed all nations to walk in their own ways.”

We used to walk according to our “own ways.”

Mark 7:5 “Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?”

John 8:12 “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

When we accept Christ we are to have a different “walk”:

Romans 4:12 “And the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham had while still uncircumcised.”

Walk in the steps of faith.

Romans 6:4 “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

Walk in the newness of life.

Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”

Walk according to the Spirit.

Galatians 5:16 “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”

Galatians 5:25 “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Walk in the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Walk in good works.

Ephesians 4:1 “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.”

Walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.

Ephesians 5:2 “And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”

Ephesians 5:8 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”

Ephesians 5:15 “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise.”

Philippians 3:17 “Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.”

Walk as to be an example to others, a pattern.

1 John 2:6 “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”

Walk like Jesus.

3 John 1:3-4 “For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. 4I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”

Walk in truth.

1 Thessalonians 4:12 “That you may walk properly (honestly) toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.”

How To Walk Toward Them That Are Without:

“Walk properly” or honestly, “walk in wisdom” Colossians 4:5

2.   Wisdom- vs.5 “Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside”

Acts 6:3 “Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.”

Acts 6:10 “And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.”

Romans 11:33 “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!”

1 Corinthians 1:17-30

You must know the Word of God, and show it through your life-filled with the Spirit of God.

Wisdom- is the Lord Jesus Christ!!

Ephesians 1:17 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.”

James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

If you lack wisdom, ask of God which gives to all liberally. You want wisdom, get alone with God.

Proverbs 2:1-6

3.   Waste- vs.5 “redeeming the time.”

Buying up the moment, managing your time, not wasting it.

Ephesians 5:16 “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

1 Corinthians 7:29 “But this I say, brethren, the time is short, so that from now on even those who have wives should be as though they had none.”

Luke 15:13 “And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.”

Matthew 26:6-13

Romans 12:1-2- We are to give our lives, to waste our lives on the altar to God.
