“ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH YOUR LIFE?”
“VICTORIOUS LIVING”
COLOSSIANS 3:15-17
Three Concepts To Victorious Living:
Colossians 3:15-17 “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
1. Concept of Surrender- Colossians 3:15
“And let”-allow, permit the peace of God rule in your hearts.
Romans 5:1 “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 5:10 “For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”
Romans 8:32 “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”
We are also given “peace of God”
Philippians 4:4-9
Colossians 3:15- Let God be God
We have to let God “rule our hearts.”
2. Concept Of Fulness- Colossians 3:16
The Word of God is to fill our lives. Let the Word of God get into you.
The fruit of being filled with the Word of God- teaching, admonishing, and singing.
Ephesians 5:18-20
Letting God totally fill your life, He is in total control.
Two things are to fill our lives: The Spirit of God and the Word of God.
What fills your life? You are to be growing in Christ.
Colossians 3:16 “singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
Singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord not to men, but to God.
The concept of fulness-what fills your life? Letting Christ dwell in you.
3. Concept of Authority- Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
1 Corinthians 10:31 “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
Will you surrender? To let the peace of God to rule in your heart.
What fills your life? Will you let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly?
Will you go to the ultimate authority for everything? And not rely on yourself.
Let’s be victorious every day.
