“ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH YOUR LIFE?”

“WE ALL NEED EACH OTHER”

COLOSSIANS 4:15-18

Colossians 4:15-18 “Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas and the church that is in his house. 16Now when this epistle is read among you, see that it is read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and that you likewise read the epistle from Laodicea. 17And say to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.”

18This salutation by my own hand—Paul. Remember my chains. Grace be with you. Amen.”

Three Keys To Fulfillment:

1.   Working Together Helps To Bring Fulfillment.

Colossians 4:15 “Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas and the church that is in his house.”

What is the Church?

Colossians 4:16 “Now when this epistle is read among you, see that it is read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and that you likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.”

Laodicean church:

Revelation 3:14-22

*There is no true fulfillment in life without others.

2.   Carrying Out Our Ministry Brings Fulfillment.

Colossians 4:17 “And say to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.”

“Archippus”

Philemon 1:2 “To the beloved Apphia, Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house.”

Paul says “take heed” vs.17, watch out for the ministry you have received in the Lord, and fulfill it.

2 Timothy 4:5 “But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

2 Corinthians 4:1 “Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.”

2 Corinthians 5:18 “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.”

This is the ministry God has called us too, the ministry of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:19-21

What are you doing with your life to help bring lost sinners to a loving God?

You will be fulfilled when you fulfill the ministry.

3.   There Is No Effective Ministry That Does Not Come Without Chains.

Colossians 4:18 “This salutation by my own hand—Paul. Remember my chains. Grace be with you. Amen.”

Colossians 4:3 “Meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains.”

2 Timothy 2:9 “For which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but the word of God is not chained.”

If you are going to serve God there is a bondage that is required of you.

Acts 20:22 “And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there.”

Paul said “I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem,” Paul told Timothy to endure affliction.

There are bonds if you are going to be an effective minister for Christ. And because of that Paul says, “Grace be with you.” vs.18.

2 Corinthians 8:9 “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”

If you want to be fulfilled it is not going to come until you get involved in bringing people to Christ.

Will you be ready? Christ could come today.

Are you fulfilled? Or are you empty?
