“DRY BONES?”

EZEKIEL 37:1-14

Ezekiel 37:1-2 “The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry.”

What do you think those bones were? “Very dry bones” vs.2

The good news is every time you have a problem, God has a promise. God has a promise for every Christians who feels dry.

Ezekiel 37:3-5 “And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” 4Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.”

God says, “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.”

God needs you!

God has a promise for every dry bone in the church today. He wants you to have a fresh move of the spirit! vs.5

Do you want a fresh anointing from God, a reviving?

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

1 Peter 1:23 “Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.”

John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”

A Miracle: is when a need meets a solution. A miracle is a divine appointment, when a person with pain meets a person with the power of God within!

Four Symptoms Of Dry Bones:

If these symptoms apply to you, then you are suffering from spiritual dryness, and it’s time to change. Do you want to change and be a miracle worker for God and meet the needs of people in pain? Maybe you need to pray this prayer:

God, You want me to have a fresh move of the Spirit of God. I don’t want to be a dry bone, I want to be in your army, if these symptoms apply to my life, I am going to change. Amen.

  1.   You Are Spiritually Stagnant If Your Christian Walk Hasn’t Changed Much.

A person can be spiritually stagnant because all they do is get, get, get.

The spirit only moves on us after we move! Sitting and getting does not release God’s Spirit.

Hebrews 10:24 “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works.”

2.   Your “Comfort Zone” Lies In Living A Life That Is Less Than The Life God Created You To Live.

Matthew 14:28,29 “And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

29So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.”

You will have to step out of the boat of your security and walk on the water of opportunity to meet Jesus!

Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

3.   You Are Spiritually Barren And Unproductive If You Have Not Seen Anyone Saved Through Your Personal Ministry Recently.

95% of Christians will never lead a person to Christ.

90% of Christians will never try.

There are three levels of insulation that will keep you barren until Jesus comes back:

*The first cause of spiritual barrenness is this: You have an attitude.

James 2:14-26

*The second cause of barrenness is this: All our activities are Christian activities.

*The third cause of barrenness is this: All your friends are Christians.

It is time to break out of our insulation of barrenness and be fruitful for God!

4.   You Have Too Many Members In Church!

Mark 16:17 “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues.”

The greatest sign that you are a believer in Jesus Christ is that you have made disciples of Christ too.

Acts 11:19-21

Jesus came to meet people’s needs and we need to meet people’s needs as well.

Visitors are not visitors, they are miracles disguised as needs. We need to pray God will touch somebody through me.

Ezekiel 37:10 “So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.”

A miracle is waiting for you today! This is the day you could become the miracle God saved you to be.
