“TIS THE SEASON”

“HOPE FROM HEAVEN”

“WE GET GOD”

JOHN 14:1-3

John 14:1-3

The Hope of Heaven is GOD.

Revelation 21:3 “And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.”

What is the point of life?

God wants to be with you.

Revelation 22:3-5

Matthew 1:23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.

What does it mean to go to heaven and have God?

  1. Your Soul-Ache is gone.

John 4:10 “Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

John 4:13-14 “Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

Revelation 22:1 “And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.”

John 4:16 “Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”

How are you trying to satisfy that thirst? Only God can satisfy that thirst.

“If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.” — C.S. Lewis

2. Your loneliness is gone.

Only Jesus has the power to open the scroll.

Revelation 5:9-10

“The aim of God in history is the creation of an all-inclusive community of loving persons, with Himself included in that community as its prime sustainer and most glorious inhabitant.” — Dallas Willard

When you get God you get the whole family of God

3. Your emptiness is gone.

What is your purpose in life?

“We should think of our destiny as being absorbed in a tremendously creative team effort, with unimaginably splendid leadership, on an inconceivably vast plane of activity, with ever more comprehensive cycles of productivity and enjoyment.” — Dallas Willard

2 Corinthians 5:19 “That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.”

1 Peter 3:18 “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.”

God wants to be with you!
